Exhibiting during the month of August at Red Hill Gallery in Brisbane will be
one of Australia’s leading ceramic artists, Bill Powell.
Powell’s latest collection was inspired by his recent trip to the Cristalls 2013 World Conference of Crystal Glazes at La Bisbal De Emporda in Spain where he was the only representative from Australia.

Bill Powell’s signature technique is the inclusion of crystal glazes. Each piece is unique and unreproducible in its design. They are specialty glazes that show visible and distinct crystal growth in the matrix of the fired glaze, with the beauty and translucency of the finished product bridging the line between art and science.
